FUNERAL SERVICES & HOME-GOING SERVICES & MEALS
Any Family That Has Been A Victim Of Violence In Our Community May Use Our Sanctuary or Chapel Free Of Charge For The Service Of The Deceased. You May Also Use Our Gym Or Fellowship Hall Free Of Charge For A Repast Meal Of A 2 Hour Length. You Must Contact The Church In Advance To Make Sure The Building Is Available. This Community Violence Policy Is An Exception To The Following Rules.
For Those Who Are A Part Of The New Life At Calvary
Covenant Partners-(CP)Those who have joined the church and currently have an active status as a covenant partner. A Covenant Partner is engaged in the life of the church, supports the church financially, and supports the ministry and outreaches of the church.
Special Friends—(SF)Those who have not joined the church, but have been active in the life of the church for at least a year who 1) attends church on a regular basis (At least twice a month) 2) supports the church financially on a continuous basis throughout the most recent past 12 months, and 3) is involved in some ministry of the church. (Special Friends cannot vote in congregational meetings, cannot be elected as elders and deacons, and cannot apply for scholarships reserved for members from the denomination)
Newcomers (N) Those who have not joined the church, but have been active in the life of the church for the past six consecutive months who 1) attend church on a regular basis (at least twice a month), 2) supports the church financially on a continuous basis throughout the most recent past six months, and is involved in some ministry of the church.
All Use Of The Building Is Subject To The Church’s Normal Scheduling Of Events & Subject To Session’s Authority In Determining Priority Use In Terms Of Scheduling Conflict.
Immediate Family means- one’s parents, spouse, children, those they have legal guardianship and lives with them, and brothers and sisters whether they are members of New Life At Calvary
Funeral Policy Sanctuary Use: All three groups are all entitled to the free use of the sanctuary for a funeral service. They may use the sanctuary for members of their immediate families which includes parents, spouse, children, those they have legal guardianship over and lives with them and siblings.
Funeral Policy Meals: Only Funerals held at the church come with a meal provided by the Deacons, unless our church is to small too host the funeral service. CP and SF will be served a meal for their immediate family. Meals are provided for immediate family members who are currently living in the home of the New Life At Calvary CP or SF. Meals are not provided if an adult family member chooses not to be a part of New Life At Calvary on a regular basis. The family may still use the facilities and pay for the food. If a person dies and is in a nursing home and is a CP, the person’s family may use the building without charge. The church will provide a meal if the family continued to make donations to the church while the person was in a nursing home. Otherwise a meal will not be provided. Both CP and SF are encouraged to make a donation to the Deacons for the cost of the food that is served. N are entitled to a food tray from the deacons. CP and SF are entitled to a food tray for funerals not held at the church.
